Smartway2 Achieves ISO 27001 Certification for Data Security Excellence in its Enterprise Workspace Scheduling Solution

International Standards Certification Recognizes Company’s Stringent Data Security Practices

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. Oct. 22, 2019 – Smartway2, a next-generation technology company specializing in workspace scheduling solutions, today announced that it has achieved the International Standards Organization (ISO) 27001 certification for its adherence to stringent data security practices in its enterprise workspace scheduling solution, as well as in its overall company operations. The independent assessment conducted by the British Assessment Bureau, a leading certification body, recognizes Smartway’s commitment to the security of its customer, employee and shareholder data.

“In today’s enterprise, security is paramount, and we share our customers’ commitment to achieving the highest levels of data security and privacy in everything that we do,” said John Anderson, CEO, Smartway2. “We are very proud to achieve ISO 27001 Certification for the stringent practices we have implemented in our solution and throughout our operations. This gives our customers peace of mind when it comes to the security of one of their most important assets – their data.”

ISO 27001 applies a systematic risk management approach to managing and securing sensitive data, encompassing people, processes and IT systems. Achieving this certification requires proof of a high level of operational excellence and adherence to the most rigorous and stringent security measures.

Areas covered include: information security policies; HR security; access control; physical and environmental security; communications security; system acquisition, development and maintenance; and compliance.

With ISO 27001 practices in place, Smartway2 is able to minimize the risks of potential data security breaches and reduce errors and costs. For example, comprehensive security measures to log, alert and periodically review administrative access to the Smartway2 environment, coupled with strong authentication requirements and strict client data segregation, provide extra protection for customers. Similarly, the tracking of performance and availability indicators, with automated alerts for rapid response in case of an incident, increases data security.

As well as these technical measures, ISO also focuses on internal processes, traceability and continuous improvement. Compliance with these standards demonstrates Smartway2’s commitment to a repeatable, continuously improving, risk-based security program.

Smartway2 takes an innovative data-driven approach to optimizing workspace utilization, which in turn drives user productivity and collaboration. As an advanced, full-featured enterprise solution that was built from the ground up for the cloud, Smartway2 provides advanced flexibility with a minimal footprint. The solution is easy to configure and scalable to meet the needs of organizations of all sizes, including the largest enterprises. Smartway2 stands apart by delivering significant ROI and time-to-value benefits.
